On the basis of habitat which means the ideal place of growth and expansion of animals and plants in an ecosystem. The animals and plants can be classified into aquatic and terrestrial forms.

Differences between aquatic and terrestrial animals

Characteristics of Aquatic and Terrestrial plants

 

01         Terrestrial plans: The plants that grow on the land are called terrestrial trees, Examples are rubber tree and teak tree. Smaller plants like sugarcane, rice, cotton, pepper also grow here.

02          Aquatic plants: Under water plants. These have narrow leaves without any stomata. They breathe through water and clean it. Example are tape grass, pond weed, etc.
